About This Website
I'm writing this the day after I first created this website. I created this website to provide an archive of my thoughts away from the peering eyes of my main website's users, or Terminally Online Substack users. I want to be able to share rough sketches of ideas I have.
Now I could always write on Substack, Twitter, Blogger, Medium... But the Indie Web still has the hacker ethos that drew me to Computer Science initially. People want to create for the sake of creation!
I also don't want a ton of readers! The Internet needs to slow down and having an audience pressures you into speeding up. Writing for other people under crunch deadlines. I'll pass!
About Me
I'm a Computer Science student that also studies philosophy and religious studies. I'm also a bit of a Luddite. Not in the violent sense; think Luddite Club and Paris Marx, not Ted Kacyzinski.
Even still, it's a strange combination. You don't hear of many Luddite CS Students. Nor of CS students writing papers on Hasidism...
I'm still planning on entering the tech industry, albeit hopefully farther away from its infernal core. I don't have much hope in this job market but who knows.
Part of me still has a twinkle in my eyes. I won't list them here but I create more useful projects in my free time, partly as a rebellion against the Tech Industry's for-profit ethos.
